Took the plunge and duracoated with color Magpul FDE. I like the way it turned out. You can see on the back strap where I sanded too much, so it's darker in spots. I didn't do this to the main frame, but degreased the heck out of everything. This is the small backstrap, which I don't use much, left the medium one black. Attachments:

Pretty neat looking. Keep us posted on how the finish holds up on the polymer. I was thinking of doing mine in stainless duracoat to match my wifes reverse duo tone bersa.

I'm not putting it in the holster or anything for a few days to make sure the curing process completes. I'll keep everyone updated on how it wears, and how it looks as it does. I don't really like it when a finish comes off, but depending upon how it does, it can be quite attractive.

Looks great! Curious to hear a long term report on durability.

So far so good ya'll. Took to the range last weekend and had it in my ammo box loose, strapped to the back of the motorcycle. No chips or scratches.
One thing I will say. They polymer on the 2022 is a bit susceptible to scratches and marks. Granted, totally cosmetic, but still visible. The Duracoat eliminates all of that.

Did you do this using a writeup from someone or just playing around? It looks great!
