That looks so good, Kenny. I tried the white crayon, and it works OK on magazine numbers, but was not nearly as crisp on the gun slide. And, started to wear off with in-and-out of the holster. So I took it all off and need to do the metallic silver like you did.
BTW - how are you getting closeups so in-focus? I have a digital camera and have tried, but can't get that close in.

I took this pic with my Canon Eos Rebel XS with it on the macro setting I think. I looked at the photo properties on my computer and it said I had a 55mm focal length with an ISO 400 F/5.6 and 1/60 sec. exposure. Other than the focal length/zoom all this was set by the camera including the auto focus. I took multiple pics from different angles and just picked out the best one. I used this kind of nail polish. If you can't read the label it is: Sally Hansen hard as nails Xtreme wear and the color listed on the lid is 220 celeb city Hope this helps. BTW this pic was with my cell phone, a Motorola Photon 4G

Thanks, Kenny. My wife's camera may be a Rebel, so I'll try that. Also have a camera on my cell phone, but haven't tried it yet. So will also try it.

To do the fill did you use a tooth pick or something very thin? I really like the look. Great job to both of you.

I just used the brush that came in the bottle. Youtube glock letter fill for instructional videos. It's just basically painting over the letters and wiping away the excess with nail polish remover dampened paper towels. Note: use a fresh piece of towel for each wipe or you will just smear it all over the place.

That looks good Geo. Your slide roll marks must have been good and deep because your letters are bolder than mine. I noticed on mine that the Sig Sauer was shallow and I had a hard time keeping enough paint to stick. I agree that crayons are not the way to go.

Thanks, Kenny. I also had trouble getting the nail polish to fill the "SIG SAUER" part of the lettering, so mine must have been shallow also. Took about three applications followed by wipes on that part.

I will have to take a picture of my letter fill. Went with white, but it didn't fill all the way, even after three coats. It just looks like it has been worn.
