www.youtube.com/watch?v=VXwP02Dkp7A&feature=relatedOn one hand, I think the guy is almost looking for trouble in the manner he is carrying his weapon and filming a traffic stop. But on the other he was correct and was within his rights for the state he was in. I don't know that this paints the best picture of hand gun owners or not, but to each their own.

You obviously either don't have the guts to "up carry", as you say, or think the Constitution is an antiquated document.

These videos are a dime a dozen and the pendulum swings both ways most of the time. New Mexico has "stop and identify" laws. Chapter 30, Article 22, Section 3. conwaygreene.com/nmsu/lpext.dll?f=FifLink&t=document-frame.htm&l=query&iid=6b5281ff.52f15c16.0.0&q=%5BGroup%20%2730-22-3%27%5DPersons HAVE been charged for refusing to produce ID in New Mexico, typically when being detained. He wasn't actually being detained by these guys and the comments are right, since there was no reasonable suspicion, the police didn't accurately portray his rights and they also certainly didn't deny them... but, they could have been: He was in the street illegally. New Mexico State Law: Chapter 66, Article 7, Section 339 ...and then likely there are tacked on charges for possession of a firearm during the commission of a misdemeanor. So lets just chalk this up to some wise-ass who was breaking the law trying to provoke either dishonest and/or ill-informed police officers into violating his rights. He's lucky the cops didn't know about that sidewalk law.

According to the info in the video, this guy has a law enforcement background and has videotaped incidents before. True? I don't know. But he was in his right according to law for open carry. It is a ballsy move but good for him for doing it.

We can open carry here in NC too. I never do though. It has nothing to do with not having the guts to do it. I just don't want the extra attention it may bring. Plus, in a SHFT situation the BG is very likely to shoot the one that he knows has a gun first IMHO.
