I'm curious, has anybody here had to use their sig for something other than recreation, i.e. home/self defense? Not necessarily shooting somebody but actually had the weapon drawn and hot? I keep a mag in mine right by my bed, but not ready to rock.

I have mine next to my bed in my headboard cabinet. Loaded mag and one in the pipe. Ready for the 1st DA pull. Maverick 88 20ga. standing up next to the headboard, ready for that infamous "rack".

Mine is my EDC. I'm one of the lucky ones in CA. that carry legally. The only time I have drawn is when we were issued S&W model 15's. That was so long ago, I really couldn't give you the year it happened in.

I never have and hope never have to. But I will be ready to use it if necessary.

Since I have had my CWP, I carry my Sig P250 SC or my Ruger LCP. My SP2022, .40 cal, with the green laser, is by my bedside. So far, I have not had the necessity to have to use or even pull the weapon. A few years ago, I had a conflict with some "gangbangers" in a Wal Mart parkng lot and sure wished I had a weapon at the time. I stood my ground and had already planned an escape route if needed, but appearently, they decided someone that would stand up to them was not a person to tangle with. I DID have my hand n my pocket as if I hada weapon and that may have helped. I don't want to kill anyone, but I would in a heartbeat.
