The 2022 is known to do this. My guess is a rough spot on the area of the slide that runs over the rounds in the mag that is catching. Remove your slide and run your finger over that part of the slide. There is a small hole there that may have a burr or possibly at the bottom of the breech face. I usually polish that area during a gun tune up.

Sooner, I think your just being jumpy and here's why. I to own a 40SW 2022. When I first got it, I filled the mag up with my reloads, flat-nose. And they would bind up either on the feed ramp or just below it. I was a little concerned as well. But then, I went to shoot it, and it worked like a total champ! In fact, you can see it's very first rounds fired here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=rkYToZhLhaMThe tolerances are just so blasted tight strait from the factory and me shooting a good number of rounds through it limbered it up real good and it's just a sweet shooter now. Try it, I really think you're going to be fine! Actually...........I have seen that! ;D

You can't reliably hand eject pistol cartridges because the gun is not operating with the same force that it will under actual firing. You didn't get a "shit gun". I have took this into consideration....can't wait to shoot

Just got back from firing the Sig SP2022 and Sig P229, the 229 I only put about 20 rounds through as I knew it was going to perform great! The SP2022 I fired about 150 rounds and had no issues at all, no FTE or FTF. Only issue i had was after taking gun down to show my cousin, i may not have put take down lever in completely. I had a FTF and looked down and my take down lever was almost completely out of the gun, I cleared the weapon took down again and re assembled and had not one other issue.
Love the gun! The DA pull didn't feel quite as crisp as p229 but SA could not tell the difference, for the difference in price.....this 2022 is amazing. The contrast sights didn't take anytime to get used to either, for me make sure back sight is touching the front sight and it was dead nuts! I was worried for nothing! __________________

It really is a great gun. For the money, you can't beat it.
