Do we have anybody that fancies themselves king of the grill? What do you cook on? I'm on charcoal right now, but I'm really eye balling the infrared. I'm going to start trying to cook a lot more stuff, not necessarily by recipe just my own ideas and stuff.
So do we have any grillers here?

I have a charcoal pit that I have only cooked ribs on twice. I have a gas grill that I have used for everything else for many years. The gas grill is getting up in age so I may start using my charcoal grill for all outdoor cooking (except for crawfish. LOL) I have not had any experience with infared grills but I hear that they make a great steak. My father has a pit that uses wood that is in a firebox that is attached to the end of his pit and it cooks a brisket like no other you have ever tasted and I'm not saying that because of the father/son relationship, he has it down to a science. As many of times that I have sat there and watched him, I still cannot duplicate it. He just has the touch.

I use charcoal only. I go through 300-400lbs of charcoal per year. I grill year round. It's never to hot or to cold to grill for me. I only use Weber grills. For smoking I use The Orion Cooker. As you can tell I love to grill lol.
