Spent some quality time at the range today testing new loads with my M&P and SP2022. Long story short the M&P would get traded for another 2022, but the Missus is an M&P chick....... Spent 2 hours on holster drills, double taps, shooting on the move, strong hand, weak hand, a bit of testing from the bench. It is great to have the range to yourself. Love the 2022, it has taken me 2 decades to find a gun that makes me look good. All of my 2022's shoot as tight as any of the match grade handguns I have ever owned at a third the price.... Shot rested off the bench to test a new load at 17-20 yards. All 6 rounds in 2 inches from the 2022. I could probably reduce that a fair bit as I was not 100% focused on sight picture and zipped these off a little too quickly for max accuracy. I could not get the M&P to group near as well. The 2022's have a way of making us all look good at the range. I even got the "nice shooting" compliment after my CHL proficiency test. When the instuctor asked each of us there if our weapons worked during the safety check, he looked at my 2022 and said "of course it works, it's a Sig". No bull.

I have to agree with ya, my SP is my EDC because of the trigger and accuracy. Now, all my Glocks have been sold.

Shooting quickly and starting DA in 2 - 4 shot strings it was no problem to hold 3 -4 inches at 17 - 18 yards...... I was regularly hitting pieces of clay pigeons on the berm at 22 - 24 yards. The 2022 / SIG PRO is really a fine shooting gun.
My other guns are being neglected as I enjoy shooting the 2022 more. I doubt I even ran 30 rounds through the M&P.
I have to admit that after my experience with the 2022 I am thinking about a 226 and wondering if it is worth the extra toll.

Hey guys, Maybe I’m easily satisfied or adapt quickly when it comes to pistols. Not sure which. The reason I say this is out of all the pistols I have shot(not really that many)there is only one that I really disliked. That was the S&W Bodyguard semi. The trigger pull was way to heavy for me on that small of a pistol. My first was a Bersa Thunder 380. This pistol was reliable, accurate, and had a very nice break on the trigger. That pistol now resides with my daughter and rocks a pink set of grips lol. Next I got a Taurus 27/7 Pro 9mm. Once again a reliable, accurate pistol with one of the best triggers I have ever felt. I just could not get completely comfortable with the Heinie Straight Eight Sights. It now resides with my step-son who shots lights out with it. Next I bought a Sig P238 for my wife. Great little gun. Very nice SA trigger. Then I bought a Sig P229R 40 S&W Platinum Elite for myself. Wow. This is without a doubt the best pistol that I have ever shot. It has a SRT trigger. Deadly accurate. The SRT will definitely spoil you. My next two were Sp2022 9 mm. I love these two pistols. They are every bit as accurate as my P229. Great triggers on both. My only experience with the M&P 9 mm is it is what I qualified with. I don't remember to much about it though. It must have been ok though. We had to take 40 qualifying shots a various distances and my score was 100%.

My M&P9C has been sitting around alot more since I got my SP. Hopefully with the Apex DCAEK, I will use it more, but I still really love the SP2022.
