Greetings All, just purchased an sp2022 with TB and night sites. Was looking for a good range pistol in 9mm, and was intent on and ready to buy the p226 (after shooting one previously) ... but ended up buying the sp2022 after handling and dry firing it in the store. It felt great in my shooting hand, and had upgraded sites. And the price differential was significant. Anyone else here pick an sp2022 over a p226, or have both pistols? Am in MD, so can't pick up my sp2022 until next week, so I can't compare live firing both...
(Tip of the hat to the fellow Penn Stater immediately below.)

Welcome from CA, my next sig is going to be either a 220 or 226, looking to get an equinox.

Hello, PennSt, and welcome from Missouri to this great SP2022 forum family. By your nickname, are you a Penn Stater? BS 1970, MS 1972 here.

Thanks All for the welcomes.
MVRK, my brother-in-law has the p220 Equinox. I have some quality trigger time on it, and find it to be a pretty smooth shooter.
Geobob, yep I'm a proud Penn Stater, class of '96 (BA in Econ). Looks like we are in for some lean years with the football program.

96'er, you are quite right on the effect. It still seems rather unbelievable to me. Went to a lot of football games 1966 - 1972, and Joe Paterno was an icon back then. So unfortunate....

Was happy to see Penn State get two wins over the past two weeks, including over Navy (I see you are a Navy vet)! Also, put about 200 cartridges through my new sp2022 over the weekend. Very soft shooter, and it ate the budget 115g cartridges I was feeding it without a hiccup. Still getting adjusted to the trigger; was pulling everything low and to the right, so I need to work on my trigger squeeze. Overall first impressions are very favorable!
