I shot 100 rounds of Fiocchi FMJ and had atleast 10 ftf. I've read this about Fiocchi before and I don't think it is my gun because I shot 90 rds on Sunday without a single issue. I will never buy this again, I'd rather not shoot than shoot this garbage!

Never had one single problem from WWB or Remington. I wouldn't dare feed my Sig garbage, I don't care how cheap it is.

Thing is this wasn't cheap! Oh well, what can you do?

Ftf: fail to fire or fail to feed?

failure to feed, it happened in every single magazine besides maybe 1. I don't think it is magazine or gun related because like i stated in another post i shot 40 rds of win ranger 180 gr and 50 rds of federal 180 gr fmj with ZERO issues.

How dirty is Fiocchi compared to Winchester or Federal? Could also be out of spec ammo. Did you eventually fire the 10 rounds off? I would save any further FTF's and measure them compared to known working ammo to compare the length and diameter.

I have never liked Fiocchi ammo myself. Many years ago it always seemed that it was an "underloaded" ammo and not very reliable. Another ammo I don't care for is Remington......I can't give any examples, but I just don't like it for some reason. I normally shoot my reloads in everything, but I do like Winchester ammo. I even use Winchester primers, bullets, cases, etc. I guess I am set in my ways now, LOL!
I do NOT use any Russian steel case in my firearm except the AK rifles. Even though many people use use it, and some of my shooing buddies too, I just don't use Russian ammo.

They did fire after I racked them into the chamber, I noticed that Fiocchi isn't as rounded as stuff like federal and winchester and it looked like it was just an issue of bullet shape and the angle at which it was being fed. I could be 500% wrong but that's what it looked like to me. Oh well though, if the American Eagle shoots well then I know it was the ammo. Freedom Munitions has a pretty rounded bullet on their fmj, I will need to order from them soon.

I've never tried the Fiocchi, and based on your review I will not. I have shot hundreds of the Freedom Munitions remanufactured 9mm, round, FMJ, 115 gr and had zero problems - so definitely give them a try. Buying in bulk 500 rds, ~$10 per 50 rounds is certainly economic range ammo.

I 100% absolutely without a doubt do NOT recommend Fiocchi.

There is another brand of ammo I am not crazy about......Remington brand! I have had some minor issues with Remington in the past, but not anything real bad. It appears their tolerances are not held as close as other US major brands. This is only MY opinion and I would use it for range use if the price was right, LOL!
Another Brand that I have never fired is Aquilla Brand. This is made in Mexico and I have read some decent reviews for their 9mmP, .45 acp and their .223. I guess I am a little "anal" about ammo and that is why I reload most all shoot. I have been reloading for over 40 years and have some good loads that are very accurate. Some are a little on the "warm" side and shoot great, and some are average loads and they work for me.

From what I have read on the interwebz, Aquilla is made by Federal's ammo plant in Mexico.

I may have to buy a box or two of the Aquilla brand and give it a try sometime. I will probably get the 9mmP and .40 S&W to try out first on my next ammo buy.

Please let us know how the Aquilla measures up when you do your test firing.

Hey Abwehr - have you had a chance to get and fire the Aquilla ammo yet? Really curious to hear your review.....
